Look, I really want to share the idea that you can “take back” who “We the People” are.

But have you ever taken a look at who wrote that document? That’s right, it was a bunch of rich white dudes who hated paying taxes. Slavers and landlords. Always have been. The country is rotten to the core.

Maybe now is the time to reinvent yourself instead of trotting out that tired old roll of toilet paper. All your institutions, your hallowed offices “The Congress”, “THE PRESIDENT”, “The Supreme Court of the United States of America”, have been thoroughly smeared with poop as well.

I say it’s time to flush it all down the drain.

Same tactics as with climate change… “You can’t do anything anyway!”.

        Stop. This is not true.

Timothy Snyder wrote a few things why defending institutions is important. And these are the same reasons why historic fascists went for them. The German Nazis even had an extra word for this, Gleichschaltung , which meant destroying the autonomy of institutions. And look what’s happening.

… is not something I would or did say and hence not a “tactic”.

After Occupy Wallstreet and BLM, I lost all hope in a peaceful solution. That powers that be know how to deflate movements with real potential for change and ignore everything else

It’s a big task for sure. But reinventing the United States has been long overdue.

No, we need to better it through boring engagement in democracy. Get involved. Tearing stuff down is easy, good luck rebuilding a just society with health care during climate collapse after a civil war. You will become Afghanistan or Mad Max, where clans with lots of tiny kings fight for power.
