No, social media is driven by algorithms that control what you see and how much you see. Chat rooms and forums are old school, more analog. You chat with other people in realtime and are able to choose the posts you want to see.

Additionally, a somewhat specific question if you’re able to answer - I’ve been looking at bike locks and accessories on eBay. There are a ton of decent higher-end locks at steep discounts because of cosmetic scratches or scuffing. Would these still be as safe to use as a regular new retail item?

To be fair, the most efficient mode of transportation is cycling by far. I wonder if bike tires also contribute to this.
