I really subscribe to the idea of the kid helping on bills + a little extra and the parent saving as much as they financially can of that into an account and giving it to their kid as a moving away gift.
But yes, I think you are more talking about having the kid pay market price to live at home which is fucked.
It was a very sad day when I learned that my dental insurance is a reverse deductible. Like you said, they only pay out $2k a year then it’s all out of pocket. Actually so stupid.
I don’t think it was that uncommon for a boomer dad to never change a diaper. One of my friends dad was bragging about it and my own dad was a little surprised to see me change one. Luxury of a single income supporting a middle class family of 4 I guess.
I just watched Hot Tub Time Machine for the first time the other day. The ending is incredibly messed up. They come back and stuff is different but they don’t have memory of the last 20 years? They just overwrote the new timeline versions of themselves. And Rob Corddry isn’t even sad about it, he’s basically like screw those guys that I’ve built my life around I got my messed up friends back.
The rest of the movie is pretty good though.
What are you talking about? Day 935 of the 3 day war is going great!
I probably wouldn’t do any overnight stays on a ship.
It’s called invert in Photoshop:

Speaking of Harris’s Hawks, what a stupid name. So awkward to say. I really want them to change them to Baywing Hawks, so much cooler and at least slightly descriptive.
If the game is actually good there will almost always be another Kickstarter later if it doesn’t go retail, but it could be years. Except for CMON games which are based on FOMO, those do not come back and retail can be significantly worse.
I have to return some videotapes
Animal emotions is a hugely debated and studied topic, at least it was 10 years ago. It was a grave sin to anthropomorphize animals that have not been properly studied when I was in school. That comment is probably a tongue in cheek comment on that
If you are looking for a companion, definitely. If you are looking for an animal bred for a specific purpose, find a reputable breeder.
Big asphalt at it again.
They are popular in more affluent areas so they can be driven to clubhouses or other neighborhood spots, and unsurprisingly very common in neighborhoods that have their own golf course.
It’s not pica, they sell soil or clay in markets for consumption, usually for pregnancies:
Basically, people buy certain breeds expecting a certain behavior and then train these breeds to express said behavior, which makes it difficult to examine whether said behavior is due to the nature or nurtured or how big a role either plays.
All the authors need to do is go to a handful of working dog breeders and watch the puppies. They will see quite clearly that breeding dogs for traits works.
Ya, idk how this would recruit someone into infantry. I played it for a little bit and it was a getting shot simulator. Idk if I ever even saw someone on the other team.
Falconry in the US exists as an exclusion from the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act. Both of these laws make it illegal to disrupt or possess native birds or their parts. Falconers successfully petitioned the government to let them take wild raptors from the wild as long as falconers themselves regulate the participants. If the falconers are not being respectful of the birds it would be incredibly easy to strip their privileges.
In the same sense RC flying is a privilege from the FAA after too many people flew drones into airports and HAM is a privilege from the FCC to keep people from jacking up the airwaves.
There was a librarian who saved his whole life and when he passed donated I think 1 million dollars to his old university. That university then spent the money on a new score board for the football field. I bet if he saw that he would have wished he put some stipulations on his donation.
