I feel like atheism has always been considered a bad thing? It’s more widely accepted now than it ever has been.
I totally agree it is the more logical belief, but, religious types not liking non-believers is nothing new

Hope nobody goes

PlayStation is still making games?

If you have an x86 cpu Mac, install Linux, use steam/proton and you can play pretty much any indie Windows game out there. Or you can just install Windows. If you have an Apple cpu Mac, there are still tools out there you can use to play the game.
You can’t fault Indie devs who have a day job for not wanting to spend time supporting a ton of different platforms (AAA, is a different story)
Agree to disagree then

For me the difference is there is nothing stopping competitors, Valve is not locking them out of the market in any way. If they don’t want to spend the time to build a good competing product, that’s on them. And additionally, PC gaming is just one platform for gaming
Where do you propose we shop?
You gotta shop somewhere, would you rather it be Walmart?
It is petulance
I’m blaming the party as well. But nothings perfect in life, when it comes down to it you have to choose the best available option. Bloods on people like yours hands, no matter what kind of excuses you want to try to make. Good job making it easier for the fascists
What part about I agree with you but the alternative is more people dying do you not understand
Nah man, no pretending. But there is an evil and a lesser evil. I just don’t see any logic behind not voting for the lesser evil. It will benefit nobody and harm more people. I would vote for a 3rd party in a heartbeat if they had a good campaign run. It’s pretty easy to tell if a 3rd party has made any kind of a splash by election date. In this last US election there were no other options, period. The Democrats suck, I get it, but those that didn’t vote for them are making things worse.
I generally believe it’s important for people to view third party options as viable, because really they are only not viable if we believe them to be. But to have a chance to win that kind of party needs an extraordinarily well spoken and revered leader. In this last election we didn’t have anyone that got the bill
I don’t think it’s enough, but it is enough to vote for them over trump. If you feel otherwise I can only suspect you are privileged enough to not be effected by Trump’s actions, great for you, not great for the people being killed by ICE or blown up outside schools.
If there was another viable option I absolutely would not have voted for Kamala, but there wasn’t so how is not voting supposed to be the better option?
If you look at what Biden accomplished in his term he actually did quite a bit for environmental protection.
But even if Harris did do fuck all, it’d still be better than this

I don’t believe Catholicism is the biggest denomination in the US
I hate windows as much as the next lemmy user, but turning down a well paying job because I don’t want to use the OS 99+% of businesses use, means you must be at a level of stability I cannot even fathom.
And not you, but OP was kind of a dick calling IT lazy. As someone go works in IT myself, a lot of departments these days are woefully understaffed. We’re not going to support any extra software, causing us to work more overtime hours, because one douche is throwing a hissyfit
God you must make a ton of money
I love raw plain avocado but most people don’t and wouldn’t eat it like that

What did Mozilla do?
Yeah but again, is that anything new? From my observations it isn’t
