Preach. Get a food scale!
I counted calories for a bit to eat healthier and balance my nutrition.
I stopped after 3 months but I quickly realized that serving sizes ae WAY smaller than you’d think.
A bowl of cereal or chips could be 2 or 3 servings. Donuts and muffins are garbage. Ham and cheese? Triple the ham and cut the cheese in half. Mayo is horrible but plain mustard is 0 cal.
I didn’t eat any less but I made my meals healthier and lost weight without changing my workout.
I also ate bad stuff without cheating. Chicken salad for dinner and a scoop of ice cream for a late night snack under budget.
Oh lawrdy… Its not a one off. Pure feline eye-bleach. Lovely.
This reminds me of the wood chips delivery in the driveway bit…
His bit on ass is funny as hell too
Maybe it’s also the fact that you’re older and more mature?
What if you had a stream of income in your youth from family supporting you?
Generational wealth.
I definitely would’ve been more spontaneous instead of work two jobs while going to college in my early 20s.
This starts with corporations.
The masses can start doing paper and glass, but corps are by far way more wasteful with plastics.
3m recently invented a great replacement for packing supplies. Instead of plastic bubble bags you get this paper that opens into cushionlock
Microplastics gathering in the brain. Most of which come from tires not food containers.
I married a gamer. Co-op games are 90% of my gaming and it’s mostly fantastic.
It’s cheaper to catch shit early.
This is a huge takeaway. Insurance doesn’t care about your longevity, health, quality of life or even long term costs.
People hop insurance providers all the time so the companies are literally focused on profits quarter by quarter.
Use case:
I want to set it up in my home so husband and 2 kids can access and share within GOG TOS.
Is there a feature to automatically download installers and patch files from GOG to the server?
Seems like a good feature to have to maintain an offline library.
And it’s only going to get WAY WORSE with LLM and Gen AI…
I wonder if it would be illegal to put IR lights around your plate to blind the camera …
Gears turning…
Yep. Then automatic tolls and traffic cams can’t track you. Cop would pull you over real quick.
Can !homeassistant@lemmy.world help with that?
Yeah this is begging for !homeassistant@lemmy.world to replace that app.
Yeah. I’ve found new logic by asking GPT for improvements on my code or suggestions.
I cut the size of a function in half once using a suggested recursive loop and it blew my mind.
Feels like having a peer to do a code review on hand at all times.
Everyone keeps talking about autocomplete but I’ve used it successfully for comments and documentation.
You can use vs code extensions to generate and update readme and changelog files.
Then if you follow documentation as code you can update your Confluence/whatever by copy pasting.
Wired is king.
If I gotta do wireless I get one with a RF dongle/base.
Astro A50 Wireless. Needs a dongle but it’s waaaay more stable than any bluetooth headset. Both on range and audio quality.
