He said this in response to several media outlets and Ukraine’s military intelligence agency (HUR) reporting that Russia has Starlink and is increasingly using it on the front line in Ukraine.

Well yeah, but we already pretty much knew that, and Musk is just skating by on a technicality. The Starlink terminals were registered in (If I remember right) Dubai, which would be where they were sold. It would be very easy for Musk to sell to someone in Dubai, and that someone then sells to Russia. Whether Musk knew or not, he technically didn’t sell anything to Russia. That doesn’t mean he isn’t complicit in the Russians using Starlink.

We know Musk can absolutely choose to shut down service to a region, and probably to specific terminals. He’s done it before ahead of major Ukrainian offensives because he “didn’t want to be complicit in major acts of war.” The fact that he hasn’t shut down the Russian terminals just further demonstrates his real priorities.

Elon Musk should be treated the same way we would treat anyone who collaborates with an openly hostile foreign power.

Businessman Elon Musk on Feb. 11 said that his SpaceX company sold no Starlink terminals to Russia, directly or indirectly.

He said this in response to several media outlets and Ukraine’s military intelligence agency (HUR) reporting that Russia uses Starlink terminals on the front line in Ukraine.

So he definitely sold Starlink terminals.

Even the word conservative is a lie when they say it. Conservative is a method of not changing too much too quickly - it makes sense on paper. The problem is that their entire movement has abdicated it’s intellectual responsibility and instead is actively regressive.

It makes sense not to change everything all at once, conserving some aspects of history and making sure nothing falls apart. But conservatives and progressives should have the same end goal of making things better, even if their methods and speed differ. These people see things that are absolutely fine and are curious about it because it undermines their narrative for themselves.

Suddenly Starlink just starts working in the territory of Ukraine occupied by Russia when it didn’t before and he just knows nothing about it? Those terminals can geolocate themselves and be deactivated if they are used in an unauthorized territory. Which the occupied parts of Ukraine used to be.
