I’ve never created a subreddit before but yet here I am creating a community for Southern Utah in support of Lemmy.
Hoping to see the community support this in a small way as I attempt to submit a couple things per day.
Zion?
What differentiates southern Utah so much from Utah that it needs it’s own community?
Climate, weather, housing, culture, religion, amenities and much more are all completely different from northern to southern Utah. It’s similar to Southern/Northern California, separated by vast space, it’s the same type thing in Utah, just in a smaller state.
On most social media, you’ll find groups and communities that are Utah and then Southern Utah because the main Utah groups are overtaken by Northern Utah content.
And by the way, Reddit has city-based subreddits for Utah. Over time, Lemmy / Fediverse will get more and more granular with stuff like this.
Sundance in the North, Hayduke in the South?
Yeah, you ain’t gonna have a hard time filling this place with content, that’s for damn sure.
Beautiful
Just got back from Santa Clara, UT. It’s beautiful for hiking. Love the roads.
One of my favorite things is all the biking paths made available. Such picturesque views.
