3·2 days agoTrump’s long-standing grudge against electromagnetic launchers seems to stem from his frustration about the production of the USS Gerald R. Ford, which cost roughly $13 billionto make and experienced delays and cost overruns. There’s no reason to think its launchers don’t work, however.
Anybody else have a boss that made a terrible decision that cost the company too much money. And rather than admitting they fucked up, they told everybody the entire process was wrong and needed to be fixed everywhere. Resulting in massive additional costs and an all around worse process.

8·3 days agoThey only trust the news that reports the things they want to hear.
I think there’s others that think the things he does for the country are good. And they take the good with the bad. Like lowering taxes (even though mostly the rich benefitted from that). Or whatever the fuck DOGE claimed to do. Or brain worm measles you.

2·3 days agoI wonder if there’s something that can be done. Sure the company may be out of business, but their hard drives somewhere that still has the data on it, right?
Nobody read it, cause nobody wrote it.

I’d love to hear some specifics. I doesn’t feel like things have ever been this crazy.

1·5 days agoI can’t imagine a scenario where a bot post would make sense. But I think each sub needs to ask that question, then make it a part of the sub rules. Bots should be clearly defined, and should only post content that is allowed of a bot.

7·6 days agoClaiming voter fraud after the vote is much different than preventing voters from getting to the voting booth or casting their vote. That’s what I’m concerned about.

612·6 days agoThe skeptic in me says Trump and his personal army will use the data from these primaries to focus their attention in November.
Just like how in 2020 he used the data to show that Democrats used mail-in voting much more than Republicans. So he promptly put in a postmaster general who started dismantling mail sorting machines to slow down the mail.

16·10 days agoResults of a Reuters/Ipsos poll released Monday showed that 42% of registered voters would vote for a Democratic congressional candidate at present, compared to 37% for a Republican.
Considering how gerrymandered the country is, I’m not sure this is a big enough lead.

54·11 days ago“The government thus asks to absolve these Defendants of crimes against the United States itself,” Mehta wrote. “In this court’s view, that is not in the public interest.”
When you put it that way, pardoning these people almost sounds treasonous.

This implies they didn’t know what was going on.
