What your favorite 90s anime na pinalabas sa Pinas?

I’m already expecting answers such as “Dragonball Z”, “Yu Yu Hakusho”, or “Fushigi Yuugi.”
Para maiba naman, I’ll answer with my favorite underrated 90’s anime. Time Quest. I don’t even know if it even was famous in Japan but I like how wacky and weird it is (even though it’s pretty much tame in hindsight).
Yan ba yung may takure? Yan dahilan kung bakit di ko pinanood ghost fighter sa ch13 dati.
YES!! Eto yung may memorable line na “Lilipad, lilipad, TAKUREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!”
Damn, I never expected anyone else to remember this anime. Pero yun nga, naala-ala ko pa, palipat-lipat naman ako ng channel para lang mapanood ko sila ng sabay.

Also, wait a second, iisang channel ba sila at magkasunod? Na-ulyanin na ata ako.
Basta naalala ko channel 13 yan dati, parang magkasunod nga mauuna yung takure.

I do remember na nag-palipat-lipat ako ng channel dati, but I can’t remember exactly why. Basta ang alam ko may dalawang show ako na pinapanood at the same timeslot (baka Marimar??) at sinusubukan ko silang panoorin ng sabay.
Di ko na din sure ano kasabayan niyan, naglilipat din ako ng channel kasi naalala ko yung chibi ghost fighters bago/pagkatapos magcommercials.
Naalala ko yang takure nung nanonood ng digimons* pamangkin ko. Naappreciate ko na inincorporate nila history kaya napaisip ako kung ganun din kaya yung theme ng takure.

By the way, naaalala niyo pa ba yung anime primetime block ng gma dati, yung pinangtapat sa Pangako Sa’yo? Early 2000s.
Akazukin Chacha, Ranma(?), InuYasha, Cardcaptor Sakura, Crayon Shin Chan. Pati yung OVA na Variable Geo na napanuod ko sa tv channel bago siya naging Cinema One.
Ghost Fighter noon pero it died down after completely watching it nung unang run niya sa GMA.

Yu Yu Hakusho very underrated
huh? underrated ba yun? If I remember correctly primetime slot pa nga yun eh, that time bata pa ako, pero kahit adults pinag-uusapan yun hahahah
maraming nagsasabi na weebs ngayon na ayaw daw nila panoorin isa na doon pinsan ko kasi ang pangit ng quality ng animation kasi luma kumpara sa ngayon
We just belong to a different era with different tastes. It’s not just animation quality I’m talking about here, but also the art style.
Also, I think it’s been overrated by the older generation (like me) which just is not “cool” with the young ones.
