This month’s Ask PHlemmy: If you could wake up tomorrow and be an expert in one skill you currently lack, which skill would you choose and for what reason?
Woodworking. Would be nice to be able to create drawers, playhouses, desks, and other crafts on my own.
Athlete, pwede ba lahat ng sports? lol
EDIT: cooking na lang
mechanical engineering to be able create all sorts of convoluted mechanisms
After much consideration over the past month, I think carpentry is a skill I’d like to be an expert at. So many opportunities pragmatically and personal projects to fulfill
I think as of right now, it’s drawing. Because, I currently don’t have many plans to practice drawing, even though I want to, because I also have other skills I want to master, I just think this one is the most beneficial, since I also like writing, it helps the creative process tremendously.
Drawing ata is more on talent. You can learn the skills but iba pa rin yung may ingrained ka na creative talent. Otherwise, magiging ka lang just like 70% of the saturated market na puros chibi art/weeb/watercolor tracing ginagawa.
But if you just want to draw and not make it a livelihood, okay lang naman and I get what you’re saying. I sure as shit could use those skills to make simple illustrations.
Good point, creativity is what matters there… yeah, I could use the skill but having the talent would be harder, and even if I had time to practice, who’s to say that I easily get distracted by other things and be left without time, since from my experience, it takes a lot of time and writing text is easier. Eh, kahit na, di naman ako artist hehe…
