As racist as the Dutch are, they sure have it right when it comes to building bicycle centered infrastructure, and Dutch Bros really is the opposite of that. The vibe of the place really fits the chain’s hometown of Grants Pass, OR though, which is a CHUD town pretending to be hip, laid-back and outdoorsy.
Really curious, why do you perceive the Dutch as racist?
I have made quite the opposite observation, coming from a german (but i am also speaking dutch) viewpoint.
Judging from the racism situation in Germany, the Netherlands is less racist and less polarized on racism than us
Perception is probably due to holding on to minstrel imagery with Zwarte Piet. Not something I care about personally but it’s an obvious perception hit internationally.
As a darker skinned individual, it seems average here which I consider to be not so bad in modern timbres.
