    You know, misleading your despot leader into thinking that travel is safe and allowing their arrest by the international community, then leaving them to rot in some prison abroad is one of the ways you might get rid of a head of state that you no longer want in charge.

    “Oh no, you seized our completely sane leader, that’s so wild, we totally want him back, but gee, we don’t really have any sabers left to rattle… oh well”
