That’s I guess how nature is giving us a sneak peek of what’s to come if we continue this road.
This is the worst storm of the last century. There were maximum danger warnings yesterday starting early in the morning—I saw them from 800 km away. Yet I’m seeing images of people trapped in shopping centers, Ikeas, and similar places, both workers and customers. What on earth were these people doing there? Why didn’t the authorities suspend economic activity? What could possibly be so urgent that you had to buy it at IKEA during a storm like this?
I mean, when covid hit there were pictures of italy where they didn’t know where to go with body bags and a few hundred meters away were people that refused to leave the restaurant because they needed to drink beer in company.
They didn’t expect it that horrible. Same as the German disaster, close by my region, they didn’t expect it. It’s the fcking new reality.
I wish the best for the Spanish people. Hope the next days weather won’t be this hard.
