After playing Need for Speed World via SoapBox Racing World on the WorldUnited server and learning the existence of Sonic Runners decompilation, I want to find more gems that can well represent the live service games for once. Even though I don’t like live service monetization as much as the next guy, I can’t help but feel that there are some live services that are worth playing. I would love to be able to host or play some live services for myself instead of ignoring them forever. Plus if these good live services exist, then I can convince people to play better games instead of being given a dirty look when I have no better options for other players that I can suggest. Thanks.

Mech warrior online runs balance patches through community votes. And it’s has very generous giveaways almost every month so you can easily get the good stuff if you complete a few quests. I highly recommend it
Looking at it, it looks fine but I don’t see self hosting and there are a lot of packs of cosmetics that contain stuff that progresses the game. Not to say I know from a glance but I don’t think this is what I’m looking for.
Otherwise it looks like a fine game. Has a lot a menus from the screenshots but probably not the worst choice. I’ll keep it in mind for later if it ever grows on me.
