pokemon,yugioh, mtg are sitll all on Reddit. pokemon specifically the card game has direct line of communication(sort of) with the devs, it will be impossible/difficult to convince them to switch here. theres also certain companies that uses thier specific subs too.
It’s been limping for a while, but the momentum was huge to begin with. The niche subreddits still had good participation, not great, but good enough. These latest shenanigans might be the final tipping point, though.

Exactly this, compare Usenet reddit and Usenet lemmy. Lemmy has barely any activity.

there are niche subs there i vist that usually cant replicate somewhere else, and people are addicted to the news and political posts.
