This was one of the first things that struck me when I saw footage of soldiers evading fibre-optic flown drones. It’s very terminator-esque.

Hiding, preying it doesn’t spot you. Listening to the sound as it flies ever closer, unsure if this is your last moment. Relief as it flies past, but panic to find the invisible fibre optic cable it dropped so you can cut it.

Found it…snip…squeel…boom…breathe.

Honestly, the sounds of drones flying over head freaks me out and I’ve never been anywhere near a combat zone with ones designed to kill…so I couldn’t imagine what the sounds of drones would do to a person who has witnessed the horrors.

I’m waiting for the day a drone is used to hurt or kill people in a noncombat area. Like time square or something like that.
