If science had ever mattered to the US government, we wouldn’t be in the kind of positions we are in respect to things like sociopaths being allowed to hold the highest positions of power in the county and the planet burning to a crisp because of our reliance on oil power.

So considering the past of the US regularly ignoring science or flat out making up science or abusing citizens for scientific research, coupled with the highly religious and sanctimonious nature of this court, I strongly expect that science will not win… once again.

I mean this is a government that has regularly tried to regulate the very reality of mathematics by trying to mandate backdoors into secure encryption.
