There’s no reason to use the word “r-tarded” to describe someone. As someone who’s worked with the intellectually challenged, it’s an insult to them to compare them with people who are willfully ignorant.

Why not? If the goal is to annoy or insult, why wouldnt you use that word, or any word? You are supposed to be trying to annoy the person, to insult them. You want to be at least a little creative and get some colour into your insults.
