I had no idea about the new card when I bought my newest pass. If they had given me a card with his picture I’d probably try to save up for a nonresident pass. But at $350 total outlay ($75 for yearly + $275 for yearly nonresident) it’s hard to get your money back unless you live by a park or are planning to hit a bunch with intentionality. I feel like I spend a lot of time in national parks but only go around 5 times in a summer season and 4 or 5 in the winter (when it’s free sometimes.)
