Has anyone here caught any of the shows yet this tour? How’s it been? I would love to hear your stories!

    Ok, no one’s commented yet…

I’m seeing them all tomorrow and I’m equal parts hyped on seeing some shit that I grew up with, and hesitant that the whole event is gonna be a kind of cash-grab feel to it…

The tickets were not fucking cheap to say the least. But, originally it was supposed to Wu Tang (celebrating 30yrs since 36 chambers released) and Nas headlining. De La Soul got added after the fact, so that made the high ticket cost seem a bit more reasonable.

Despite 36 Chambers being among the first dozen or so cassettes I ever owned, I’ve never seen more than 2 members of Wu perform together at once. Never seen Nas live, and never seen De La Soul either.

So I’m hoping for a dope show, but going in with semi low expectations.

If you’ve seen any shows on this tour, please do share your experiences and opinions

Saw Nas when he was touring with Mary J. Blige for “Lost Tapes 2” and man it was incredible. Tbf it was a much more stripped down affair than what I imagine this show is going to be, but the energy and vibe was straight out of the early hip hop bboys/mc era. Plus the man is a legend so if nothing else it’ll be cool getting to say you saw him live :)

Yea, this is definitely a bucket-lust show for sure

**I was gonna fix that typo, but I think it needs to stay lol

Unfortunately they’re not coming to a venue near us, but I do plan to check out the Live From NY stream.

Nas never disappoints, even after all these years. The man is a poet and his shows are very audience focused compared to some of the more bombastic and over the top productions of modern artists. If you’re a fan of the genre and the artists especially I think you’ll be in for a treat.

Big fan of all the artists. First time seeing a hip hop show in a full size arena

That I won’t get to see Dave live in my lifetime sucks :/ Rest in power. Also, live in Europe.
