I believe the app you’re referring to is Bumble. Hinge is nice because you can send a message to a potential match that they can see before they swipe on you. It’s how I met my wife!

Technology@lemmy.world•TIDAL to automatically tag AI-generated music… and block it from earning royaltiesEnglish
13·1 month agoIMO one of the worse aspects of slop in the system is that one person can produce so much of it. One person uploading a ton of music without tagging it as AI will probably throw some internal flag in the system for review, so at minimum there will either be less mass-posted slop or it’ll force people to upload from multiple accounts, which also has certain flags to look for.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What question can I ask ChatGPT, right now, that will reliably produce a factually incorrect, wrong, or false answer?

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What would you do if your 24- to 26-year-old son or daughter only dated older, successful people and didn't like poor or middle-class people their own age?
2·2 months agoFWIW the “brain stops developing after 25” stat comes from a study where the oldest person they looked at was 25… Its not a reliable stat. Our brains are always developing and there is no “fully developed” age

12·5 months agoI don’t think that’s a good thing
The Firefox extension for archive.org has an option to archive the page you visit if said page hasn’t been archived recently. Its not exactly what you’re asking for, but similar

10·7 months agoAFAIK it’s because both animals will lick you in an attempt to wake you up, but cats tongues are so rough that they’ll break the skin after a bit, taste blood, then eat you
When someone calls you out for strawmanning, doubling down on the straw man in question doesn’t work lol
Its a good thing they’re asking for something that doesn’t impact the experience for those people then
Its a straw man because no drug addicts are actually calling for this

Games@lemmy.world•Weekly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing this week?English
1·1 year agoThe audiobook version made by Soundbooth Theater is no-joke the best produced audiobook series I’ve ever listened to (not the full immersion tunnel or whatever, just the voiced audiobook). Would recommend.
Turns out dry sarcasm doesn’t come across well in text form, if only there was a way to indicate it
I am asking specifically about vibrators vs penis sleeves. Are you saying the latter is and should be more shameful than the other?
Do you feel the same way about vibrators?
