I just did some searching and apparently Lime and Spin are trying year round rentals this year according to MPR.
Every time I’ve rented a Lime bike I’ve missed my personal ebike though because it feels like I’m capped at like 12 mph on them, I’ve been frequently commuting to St Paul, I wonder if Spin operates there?

I live in Minneapolis too, and I’ve seen the scooters migrating in truck beds for the winter already, and I know in previous years the bikes have also gone away once the snow starts. Sorry.

I haven’t seen them outside of nerd spaces in years, but the hypothetical coworkers might be entertained by American Gashapon. I think the Japanese ones are always higher quality stuff than ours but there were some entertaining toy lines in those.
There’s also FrogFind that’s a wrapper for DDG that’ll let you actually view (some of) those results on some ridiculous hardware.
My roommate does this with their cat. Now whenever anyone operates a can opener the cat comes running and MEOWS, even though in my case it’s never tuna.

I’ve done some stuff through Appen before, it’s AI training projects mostly, it’s not well paid and the projects I’ve been on became a slog after a few weeks but it’s work from home and you don’t really have a boss. You’re just expected to do your x hours of work on your project(s) per week.
I just did a bit of searching and apparently they lost their contact with Google and they got a lot of people during the pandemic (some have stuck around) so maybe not viable anymore.

After the Oprah episodes they did a compilation episode of all of the bastards Oprah gave us that they’d previously covered, including Dr Phil. It was like 9 hours long. I couldn’t finish it.
