Yar har fiddle-de-dee…
Don’t worry, he’ll be gone in a day or two.

How many pants could underpants pants if underpants could pants pants?

If I’m walking around a park, I may wear earphones. If I’m walking on sidewalks around the city, I’m way too paranoid. I like to be able to hear my surroundings. Case in point, I was crossing a street at a crosswalk with the walk signal active when I was nearly hit by a car; the driver was clearly distracted and ran the red light. The only reason I wasn’t hit was because I heard the car coming and I stopped in the middle of the crosswalk to avoid getting hit. If I had kept going at my pace, I for sure would have been hit.

Agree, hard to run with no legs in a vacuum.

R.E.M. does a cover of Leonard Cohen’s First We Take Manhattan that I recently discovered.

…I just got a Framework laptop a month or two ago, dag nabbit straight to fucking heck.
I found this one, it’s in a vertical format (1800x3200). I might be able to make a horizontal one, but I can’t right this moment.

I saw someone recommend a Innioasis Y1 earlier today, I noted it as something I want to look at.
May his/her sunspot never move and may he/she rest in play.

“Negative, I am a meat popsicle.”

The second Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson gets close. It’s a setting where magic meets wild west tech, including guns, cars, and electricity.
I’ve heard that his next trilogy in the setting will have more of an 1980s tech level.
A couple of Sanderson’s short stories touch on space ships, computers, and magic.
EDIT: I didn’t answer the question. Yes, I think it can work. I’m also a huge fan of Brian McClellan’s Powder Mage books. This mixes musket level tech and industrialization with magic.
Yippee ki-yay, Mr. Falcon

That was truly a banger, really infectious!

I work in AV and recently worked a gala. They held an auction for various things, mostly getaways to a fancy summer home or chef dinner experiences. One of the chef experiences went for over $8,000. One of the other AV techs turned to me and said “$8,000 is a lot for one dinner.” I leaned in close and said quietly “$8,000 would change my life.”

Triple triad from Final Fantasy 8.

I bet the crowds here are larger than the crowd Trump had at either of his inaugurations.
Could it be that this is the truth physics can no longer ignore? Find out in our season finale! Coming up next, this man claims to be pregnant with Montezuma’s gold, but will Montezuma have his… revenge?
