  • The Lord of the Rings - watched these many times now, and a couple of those have been back to back marathons. And yes, extended editions every time.

The Little Mermaid - The original Disney animated version. It’s possibly my favourite of what is known as the renaissance era.

The Muppet Christmas Carol - I watch this every year on Christmas Eve. I think I’m up to about 15 or more years now. It’s without a doubt the best version of A Christmas Carol ever.

Top three off the top of my head. I’m sure there’s more but the won’t match the number of times I’ve watched these.

  • There’s only one film that has ever really given me the creeps and that’s The Descent. I think it’s the combination of the creatures and being stuck underground in those cave systems (plus the claustrophobic nature of it all). Plenty of times it gave me full on spine tingling shivers.

Also I will also say watch the full version with the extended (proper) ending.

  • The active aerodynamics are perhaps the biggest change from a car perspective, with two separate modes simply called “Straight Mode” and “Corner Mode.” Corner Mode is effectively the car in its normal, full-downforce state, allowing maximum performance from the aerodynamics through corners. In Straight Mode, the front and rear wing flaps open up to reduce drag, providing an increase in top speed for less energy. This configuration is only available to cars in designated areas on each circuit, that will be defined by straights with a minimum length.

So straight mode is just DRS but without having to be within a second of the car.

  • Yeah. If he didn’t give the position back and the stewards found Max at fault he would then have gotten a penalty or told to give the position back. In that case he may have been 3 or 4 seconds ahead and would either had to lose that time to give the position, or try to gain a lead of whatever the penalty would be.

So team decided in that moment to give the position back as to then say look we didn’t gain an advantage. They made the call before any decision. Max didn’t like it and the rest unfolded.

  • From what I understand from the turn 1 incident on that lap with Russel, the team told Max to give the position back as he could have been deemed to gain a lasting advantage by going off track and keeping ahead. Max didn’t like the call and decided to show his team what George did to him. However it was clear that Max did it intentionally and in a what could have been dangerous manner. Completely against the code of racing really. There was no need for it and it seems in many peo0,e views he should have been/should be penalised more harshly.

  • From the official F1 site under the F1 penalties section.

Time penalties Perhaps the most commonly used penalty, time penalties are issued as either five or 10 seconds. A driver serves this when taking a pit stop, with the car sitting stationary in the pit box for the given amount of time before the mechanics are then allowed to start working on the car. If the mechanics touch the car before the time penalty has been served, another penalty will be issued. Should a driver not pit again after receiving a time penalty, the amount of time will be added on to their finishing time which could potentially drop them down the order. A recent example of this happening was the 2024 United States Grand Prix, where Lando Norris received a five-second penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage during the latter stages of the race, resulting in him dropping from third to fourth in the final classification.
