What do you mean “go get?” Just pull it from your pocket.
I mean, everyone’s got a knife… Right?
Easily opened for sure, but cleanly? I bet not. The knife will be clean and smooth, and satisfying. The cardboard will never see it coming.
Life is experienced only by those who live it. The thing that keeps me not going through with it, is literally FOMO. As much as life is filled with things that suck, and things that I hate, I know there is the very real possibility that something new will come along that I will have regretted not getting to experience.
When I remember the things that I have experienced since the time I tried to kill myself I’m high school, I am glad I didn’t. I would’ve regretted not making the new friends I did, and meeting the love of my life, and all of the the great times I’ve had, even though the shitty times that drove me to the edge, still persisted.
When I remember the things that I have experienced since the time I tried to kill myself in college, I am glad I didn’t. I would’ve seriously regretted missing out on the freedom of independent living, and the parties with friends, and precious memories I’ve made in that time.
When I remembered the time I tried to kill myself after loosing my 3rd job in a row, and hanging on the edge of poverty for just one too many times, I’m glad I didn’t. I would of seriously regretted missing out on buying my first house, and never getting to meet my baby girls.
When I think now, that life is shit, and not worth continuing, I remember those past times and know that it was impossible to know what could’ve been ahead of me, and how glad I am I stuck around to find out. So I keep on struggling through, because I know that there’s bound to be some unkown thing, at some unknown time, that I will definitely want to be around to see.
I think a lot of it comes from thought correlation traps that people easily fall into. The path goes as such
Guys, going into girls bathrooms are creepy sex perverts. -> Guys pretending to be girls going into girls bathrooms are even creepier sex perverts. -> Pedophiles are the creepiest of sex perverts -> Trans people are creepy pedophiles
It’s all baseless assumption and bias, and full of logical fallacy’s but an incredibly easy train of thought that follows normalized cultural perceptions for decades. That’s why people get stuck on those issues, when it really shouldn’t be a big deal at all.
“wanna see something cool?!” No.
He eats too many Sea Weedies.
And yet they show us ads even if we do pay.
Have you ever raised a baby? They’re 90% drama, 10% sleep. Guaranteed the early days of the Truman Show were flooded with parents watching the actor mom struggle to deal with the constant crying. Crying because hungry, refusing to eat because they’re too busy crying, crying because they’re tired, but too busy crying to sleep. I bet tons of parents were watching it, commiserating, or judging, or arguing about how she should be doing this instead of that. The drama writes itself.
Not to mention the moments when they’re being extremely cute. When they roll over in bed and stare wide eyed at a stuffed toy, then flail at it and coo little baby noises at it. Maybe bite on it and shake it around like a little puppy. People love that shit. If a live stream of a fixed camera in a car cafe can get millions of views, a live stream of a baby doing baby things can easily get lots of viewers.
To be fair, though the early video game industry was created by and included a diverse group of people, the games themselves were made to sell their niche demographic. At the time that was young white boys. As a result not many games of the early era showcased the positive side of diversity, and often times portrayed it negatively, even if it wasn’t intentional.
The past these people are comparing modern games to isn’t imagined, it’s real. As the gaming industry has grown to the now extremely large range of people it has, and through a shift in social culture over the years, the content, intent, and purpose of the games themselves have drastically changed.
The people who complain about “woke” games main program isn’t an issue with games, but more about their inability to accept the societal and cultural changes happening around them. They refuse to accept that the types of games they loved as a kid had a lot of problematic cultural issues.
So basically they’re mad that the racist and/or homophobic and/or sexist themes that they loved in old in games aren’t acceptable anymore.
Well to be fair, Microsoft has been in the scumbag game a lot longer than Google. They’re professional about screwing you over. Google is a bit more blatant about the whole, we control you and don’t care what you think, thing.
It’s kinda like saying I trust Lex Luthor far more than Harvey Dent.
That’s at home Depot.
AKA: a surfer visits Halloween town.
No I’m not shilling. Germany literally just recently shut them all down, and now are complaining about rising energy costs sending them into a recession. A problematic move that was predicted by just about everybody, even most germans thought it was a bad idea.
And now we have this article. Pro nuclear or not, axing a huge chunk of your country’s power production in an age of exponentially growing power demands, is definitely not a good idea.
Germany: shuts down all their nuclear power plants.
Also Germany: why is power so expensive?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Block, turn, and kick it!
Now punch punch punch!
Did it count as being mad, that I just don’t play any games that require linking accounts? There’s plenty of games that don’t require it that I can pay, and missing out on some high budget good games that everyone is talking about isn’t a big enough deal to me that I will be fine with just skipping it.
This is literally the first I’m hearing of this game.
“Long COVID won’t cost us billions if we don’t have to treat them.”
