Not really. It’s actually pretty good. Microsoft just did jack all to market it for some reason.

It also did have some controversy at the start.

First is because of a granular difficulty customization, down to even having a slider to slow or increase the speed of the game itself. Some elitists got butt hurt over it.

Second is that it is a slower pace overall compared to the experience that 2016 and Eternal were. So, when it didn’t play like people expected, it caused some friction.

Oh also, Microsoft forced it to be $70. So a lot of gamers just didn’t buy it out of principle.

Been out for almost a year and just received a new DLC a few weeks ago.

“Law” has always meant what those who hold authority over its enforcement says it means. Its origins came from whatever the King decreed, as he was the one who held legal authority at the time.

That system was never intended to do anything other than exert an entity’s will over others via threat of physical violence for disobeying. It was never meant to “uphold justice”, “protect the people”, or whatever moralistic tripe the current ruling class who assumed control of its current manifestation says it means and just because a broken clock is right twice a day doesn’t mean the clock works.

We can have mutually agreed upon rules and regulations but that authority to dictate who must follow it has to come from the bottom up. Those who don’t should not be forced into the arrangement against their will but neither should anyone have to associate with those who decide to not abide by it. Other ways of governing ourselves is possible. We know this because history tells us so, as explained by anthropologist David Graeber in many of his works.

This just ignores that being concerned about spoilers has existed for longer than modern marketing strategies. People have been concerned about having their first-time experience with a piece of media spoiled since at least the 50s. The end credits to Henri-Georges Clouzot’s 1955 film Les Diaboliques includes a card with an early anti-spoiler message from the director. Similarly, Alfred Hitchcock asked audiences not to reveal the ending of his 1960 thriller Psycho, saying “Please don’t give away the ending, it’s the only one we have.” The term “spoilers” itself in that context has been around since the 70s.

People still cared about having the story of certain story-rich games spoiled way before games were able to be patched after the fact and it became normal to ship out a buggy, unfinished mess.

It’s simply that some people care about having an untarnished first experience and feeling that wow moment of a plot twist being revealed in the way it was intended. That’s all there is to it. It isn’t some hairbrained conspiracy

And , I’ll be the first for you. I’ve only read Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit once because I find it incredibly boring to re-read a story that I have already read before because I know how the story goes already. I would much rather read something new than go back and re-read something.

Getting any sort of help is a pipedream. Once our support systems inevitably fail us, we are basically fucked.

Sorry it seems you’re just getting a lot of generic advice and the usual “bootstraps” bullshit.

Unfortunately, the reality is that for most people with autism and support needs, unless you can find a unicorn position, you’re kinda just fucked and have to settle for something that you’re not a good fit for and will be detrimental to you’re mental well-being in order to simply survive our sick society. There isn’t really any sugarcoating it.

Guess I’ll just die then. I’ve tried adapting to it and it is literally killing mentally to do so. I’m done adapting to a sick society.

There is vocational rehab which is supposed to help but good fucking luck being approved for access to the service.

Masking is the absolute bane of my existence. I can’t bring myself to do it anymore. Burned myself out so much doing it for decades I lost myself. Had to mask at work then had to mask at home around the family. Basically never had even a moment where I could safely be myself without being chastised for doing so.

So now I just don’t. If I’m gonna be uncomfortable either way then I’m not going to waste my fucking energy catering to the sensibilities of assholes who would never do the same for me.

Big screen. I want to actually be able to see the details in the media I’m watching.

Also, I want to be able to put my phone down and not have to hold it the entire time I’m trying to watch a show or something.

The inconveniences of watching things on a phone far outweigh the inconvenience of just getting up to watch on the PC or TV.
