Well it happened to me mostly in technology communities where my job as a police man in a country without too much corruption was giving me a different point of view than people who were seeing a corrupt government spying on them all the time.

Yeah to be honest it’s true that I’ve only seen lefties. I’m sometimes on the left side and sometimes on the right side, but it’s crazy how you can’t really express an opinion without being insulted or other things…
I don’t see in what way having a PSN account would make Horizon Zero Dawn safer on PC.
But I also wouldn’t mind so much if the few PC games I’d buy from Sony were linked to my PSN account as I’ve been a Playstation gamer since the first console.
Still, I wouldn’t want every publisher to require an account to play…
Yeah there are clearly some toxic people who won’t tolerate anything different than them. They can be leftists or rightists who are gonna hate you for whatever reason.
I didn’t have this feeling on reddit to be honest.
And it’s a shame because I’m censoring myself because of this on some subject where I could bring another point of view.
I have one and it works almost flawlessly on Fedora without the surface kernel.
The only issue is that my bluetooth mouse takes time to be detected.
Also it’s tricky to make the Surface Go boot a Usb Drive if I remember correctly.
I’ve played through the normal game and the expansion. I loved the universe, but the gameplay isn’t so great to be honest.
Also I often struggled with dialogues, selecting one sentence and not understanding why I’d have to kill everyone around after making this choice (Maman Brigitte for instance). But this might be just me😇
I recommend playing these games and I’ll play both at least twice.
That’s so true and that’s why I’m getting tired of open world games and really trying to space them evenly with a few « normal » games inbetween.
I kind of miss linear games.
If only the GAFAMS could stop getting money from taxpayers! It would be a big start and then it would just be the individuals who would decide to support by buying their products or not.
I also have an old shitty computer from Acer with 4gb of RAM lying around.
I feel a bit guilty about not using it, but I’m already sharing my time between my Surface Go 1 (daily driver) and my girlfriend’s 2012 MacBook Pro, so I wouldn’t know what to do with it.
If anyone has an idea, I’m listening 👂
I know and I agree.
Well the other solution for some banks is to send you a card reader. My ecological side had to choose between future e-waste and evil corporations.
You can’t compare turning the volume control knob in your car to writing an SMS on an old keyboard phone
Well with a touch screen you have to look at what you’re doing.
With physical buttons, you don’t have to since they have a shape.
Are you looking at your keyboard while typing on your computer? Now try not looking while typing on your phone 🤓
I hope one day we’ll find a way to get banking apps working through Waydroid or something else. And by we, I mean people who are way more techy than me😅
I feel like it’s the only thing which would prevent a lot of people from using Linux every day on their phones.
Wouldn’t you just be able to create a folder for Xdrive (imaginary alternative to Google drive) in the Virtual Machine and another one in the host.
Since they are both synchronized with Xdrive they would have the same content.
Well we can use computers, consoles and TV’s which are 15 years old everyday and still connected to the internet.
I know it’s not doable right now, but I think we should change the way we consume and get rid of technology.
And I’m not talking about a car that you can use for way more than 15 years reliably.
Thanks for the info. It’s really useful 👍
How can you know how much life an SSD still has? Is it a command in the terminal on Linux? Haven’t found anything in the system information.
I don’t think there would be any advantage in stopping yearly releases.
I think individuals should stop buying new phones often and that you should still be able to use a 15 year old phone just like you can use a 15 year old computer without security risks (with Linux).
That’s what the system or laws should encourage.
Well then I guess Apple Silicon Macs might be on my list when I’ll need something to replace my Surface Go 1 if one day it dies or if Fedora becomes more resource hungry in the future.
If they could let you create real polls to vote, it would be nice too.
Right now I think you can only react with a thumb up or a thub down.
