Unfortunately they’re on pages that I absolutely need to get into because my money is stored behind them. I cannot stand them, and I generally agree with you, if some random site has me doing a captcha in leaving.

I have regular everything and I still fuck them up. “click the ones with a fire hydrant”. But a tiny piece of fire hydrant is spilling into another box. Does it count? Does it not count? Good luck!!
I had one the other day that was deep fried jpegs to the max. Like, what the fuck am I supposed to do.
I live in Jersey (New). As a background, I’m at the edge of civilization, I like to joke. If you go west of me, there’s farms, what we call mountains, hiking, all that kinda stuff. To the east of me, it gets more and more urban until you get to NYC.
Here are my walking distances:
Adding:
Straight-line distance to Big Ben: Just shy of 3500 miles. Straight-line distance to the Statue of Liberty: 30 miles
Sprinkle in a little incest and we are good to go.
I also have no idea, I thought it was all halves of halves.
I would almost be okay with a proffer that it is bots asking the questions, but that the discourse is between human beings. That’s all I really care about. It’s rare that I respond directly to OP, or at least I do so less frequently than I’m responding to someone in the comments.
I remember back in the early days on forums, sometimes they’d just feel dead, and it was mainly a lack of content (threads). Once a thread would open, us morons behind keyboards could talk it to death, or more likely just divert in perpetuity.
Yeah, that’s where I check out. I’m a guy. I know and interact with women. Sometimes I wanna be like Hey, nice dress, because it’s a nice dress, not because I’m thinking about abandoning my kids and leaving my wife over it. Instead I say nothing, because I understand that we live in a time where it might be misconstrued as sexual harassment. It’s dumb.
Midnight Club was my absolute jam back in the mid oughts, loved the shit out of that game. Kinda got away from the Arcade style racers, but that game has a special place for me.
We have the freedom to pay more!
There was just some assumption that the knowledge was somehow inherent, like the RF from cellphones entered the womb and taught them how to troubleshoot their PC.
You’re probably joking, but yeah, I don’t really hang out with people I don’t trust at this point in my life, I’m 37.
Oh yeah, I wouldn’t cheat if I were playing with other humans, but sometimes I want to explore depths of a game that time just doesn’t permit, so I gotta skip the grind and get right to the part where I’m unkillable. And yeah, if you’re having fun, that is the point!
Play the games how you want to have fun, and anyone who says otherwise is dead wrong. I’ve dabbled in “cheating” myself, whether it’s giving myself 60 pts for starting traits in Zomboid, or building really unbalanced maps in AoE II and preventing the computers from ever advancing, it’s fun to sometimes modify the rules to benefit me unilaterally.
You don’t just pass a phone around? Any long trip, start a queue, add a song, pass clockwise. And if you fuck up the queue and hit play by accident you have to do a shot wherever we end up.
I terrify my wife. When she comes home I hide next to the fridge and I say “BOO!” and I get her just about every time. Then I hug my kids and finish making dinner.
Your pity party here is a self-fulfilling prophecy and screams white knight and all that. You can do better, get out of your head.
I may have missed it in this article, though I believe I read elsewhere, that she got busted down one rank and that’s it. I know military in general is having retention and recruitment issues, but to me this is more than just a busting down offense. That the senior enlisted on a ship would so nonchalantly disregard OPSEC demonstrates either a clear lack of understanding, or worse, something more nefarious.
We saw a naval officer relieved of command for having the scope backwards on his rifle. This, to me, rises to a much higher level.
It’s like playing the Thunderstruck drinking game as a kid, they hit you with a lot in the beginning, but then someone gets stuck chugging their beer. This could definitely be a spiritual successor.
Problem is that Sauron looked dope as fuck, and terminators love looking badass, and so they’d immediately take his side. Number one rule of being a terminator is to always look cool.
What about options? I don’t want an apartment. I have a modest home on less than a quarter acre of property. My neighbor’s house is 16ft from mine. Some people have bigger. Some people like apartments. Just options, you know? Or should everyone need to live in sense, urban areas? And I say this, the town I live in has about 5500 people/square mile, which is pretty dense. If I drive 10m south it’s farms. There’s a real variety.
The whole one solution fits all, my way or the highway (pun intended) ethos that is rampant on Lemmy is exactly why their goals won’t be met. Refusal to compromise and blatant hostility will be met with much of the same, but hey, if I’m out here calling people with cars retards, I’m doing my part!
It goes against my human nature to not overanalyze.
