I was once of those federal employees impacted by the government shutdown that lasted almost two months. I illegally collected unemployment just to make sure I had for to eat. All because of a stupid fucking border wall that never even got built. I paid the unemployment back and faced no repercussions but the fact that I had to break the law because of his stupid ego is insane. I have a kid now I don’t know what I’ll do.

I got called a white N-word by an African man because I was doing my job. I hung up on his ass after I realized what he was saying.

Caring what people find cringe is cringe. My response to my daughter when she says something I do is cringe I either say,“and” or double down. Don’t let others dictate your little joys.

My SO is a counter butter er. I’ve told her it’s grow but she won’t listen. She gets her own butter now.

The worst they could happen is nothing

I mean as long as it’s been less than two years you can get back any payment of penalties to the IRS.

It’s the failure to file and failure to pay penalties. The tools we have do a 3 year lookback from the tax year in question for these two penalties and if they don’t exist in those three years we can abate any and all of those penalties that would accrue for that tax year.

The IRS has what is called a first time abatement of penalties. So if this is the first time in a 3 year span you owe you can have the penalties (not interest) waived.
