I think they really don’t believe in storytelling in the way traditional game writers do. They think enough simulation can replace good writing.
Personally I’m certain they are wrong, and it’s tragic that they own the Elder Scrolls IP.
On my redemption playthrough (send help)

This depends on the information and the recipient, every single time. Genuine understanding between two minds is more rare and precious than gold, and it fades all too quickly. It is like a flower once picked. You tend that garden if you want more than one.
Sorry to bother, autocorrect is dire these days isn’t it?
We unwittingly created a world of entrenched nuclear states who feel totally safe from invasion, rogue nations who shouldn’t have them and have almost nothing to lose, and everyone else who has to watch their backs.
Carte blanche, i.e. blank check. Just sharing in case that wasn’t a typo
No advice yet as I’m in the same exact boat. We’re about to get ours evaluated for ADHD privately while unconvinced it’s the best option… Ours is young enough that he doesn’t really have memories of the US and started school here, but still comes off as blatantly American. It’s been a comedy of errors learning how the school system works (putting him and my wife through school the last 3 years, somehow).
But hey, hit me up if you’re ever out near Kent, I figure I owe you a pint or three for all the work you do to keep things fresh on Lemmy.
Men will overthrow the government rather than go to therapy
Incredibly on point. A bit bone chilling actually
I recognize both of y’all from around here and you both often have decent takes. Maybe take a step back and try to salvage things between each other, I know it’d be worth it. Peace.
Why are chickens so cool?
B’caws
Knock knock
Owls
Owls whoo
Yes they do
I just hate the way they write headlines. They know people skim the absolute surface so why do they write <lie>, says terrible person
Did you have to peg me that hard before we’ve even met
Remain straight on QC challenge (nightmare mode)
They did use to wear salmon as a hat. Orcas are built different.
This is the DC equivalent of saying “…in Minecraft”
I just don’t see how that translates to the game board as it stands without a world war ensuing. There are enough nuclear powers in the world that someone is popping off before we get there.
So you’re imagining a stable power vacuum as the greatest superpower in history willfully shrinks due to the leadership of a foreign asset?
Respectfully, why?
WWIII was already about to happen, now the spinning plates are being handed to the closest thing we’ve got to the antichrist. Sorry for sounding bothered
I should have said more, for once. I meant simulation more to describe the Bethesda house style, which seems to be this idea that having apples that can roll around on a table or whatever is immersive and engaging enough that you don’t need Michael Kirkbride hanging around putting weird metaphysical shit all over the place, actually. I wasn’t saying they were good at it, only that it appears to be what they think.
