  • Data should not be sold or used outside its 1 purpose. It should not be available to the original company at all to look at or have access to. Accessing data should only be allowed through court issued warrants and only on the devices in the proximity and time of the incident. As someone who is an admin to systems that deal with patient data information I can tell you without a doubt we dont even have access to this data, just the setup of everything else around it. It also has a full audit log of everyone who even views the data. This isnt anything new, they just decided to change the rules to see how far they can get away with doing whatever they want for personal gain.

  • Yeah i apologize, looking back on it some more your probably right. We got there around 2-3pm and did it almost immediately. I think the waves were done around 8-9pm do your right. I would say i could still feel it slightly for a few more hours after that but it was very minimal at that point and probably just intensified by alcohol and weed. Another plus for shrooms since they dont last as long.

  • Only done it a few times with friends. First time was at a bachelor party at a semi remote cabin. Our one friend had experience doing it and even did recommended doses for each person. I feel like my experience varied from what others have stated here. It was great though, time is lost and the 2 to 3 hours that it lasts really feels like 6 hours have passed. Depending on how much you do can change what you experience. For me it meant things felt wavy especially if you get yourself into a small room like a bathroom where its extremely noticeable. Conversations are mostly nonsense and the littlest things trigger uncontrollable laughing that lasts for minutes to the point your crying and expect your jaw to hurt. Honestly a lot of the effects reminded me a lot of shrooms, but the high is more intense and cleaner if that makes sense. I didnt have any crazy revelations or changes in life, but you definitely feel good for the next week like your recharged and some worries are lifted. If I ever get the opportunity to do it again i would.

  • “Now with things like lemmy/piefed, reddit, stackoverflow, and LLMs people are spoiled.”

But we were kind of spoiled back then as well. Before that option we had even less to figure it out. Relying on support to assist was the best option and that always sucked. Figuring it out yourself or come up with some workaround was generally the only option you had sadly.

  • “However, in Minnesota, Trump had endorsed Mike Lindell, a staunch Trump ally and the founder of MyPillow, a pillows and bedding accessories company, for the GOP gubernatorial primary, and he lost his primary to Lisa Demuth, the speaker of the Minnesota House.”

Maybe it had less to do with who the president picked and way more to do with common sense for some of these? I would like to imagine that the majority do realize Mike Lindell is just a horrible person and use their own brains to decide that maybe he won’t be the best pick for us…

  • I remember when I switched from a Samsung phone to one of the first pixel phones years ago and being so angry that it did not have an option to add the number. I think the only way back then ended up being in the developer options. That phone somehow just ended up getting into a boot loop only like 4 months after getting it and they didnt respect the warranty. It was provided by work so I didnt care that much since no real loss to me, but ill never forget that impression it left on me and ill never get another pixel or google phone ever again.

  • Whats the gameplan here for the future? Im guessing a lot of these companies are going to have to close down when they can’t sell their stock anymore? I would have to imagine most people can no longer afford this or will hopefully choose not to because it was already crazy high. I got a good 5 years before i may need something new and I really hope something collapses and things are forced to go back to what they were.

I honestly struggle with this. Don’t forget, property taxes always go up. Since ive been in my house they have increased about 1.5k in 10 years or 12%. I know I can’t live here forever just because of the exponential growth over 10 years and theres no way i can survive this another 10 or 20 years. I also wonder who can even afford this at these prices? I know a lot of states do it differently, but my state is the highest property tax rate in the country. I see some states that are like 1k for the year and my mouth drops as i pay almost 150% more.
