If you want to score some Lemcoins to use on here just let me know. I’ll send you a bitcoin link that will allow you to buy them while they are still cheap and Lemmy is on the ground level.

Welcome. As you can see lots of room for growth, but there is a lot of positive effort being made.
Do they? I used RIF and honestly don’t recall a way to even see or use coins on there. If there was I never touched it.
15 years? This is all going to happen quickly. I give it 5.
Safe bet if you are on threads, Lemmy, or Reddit, you’re probably pooping.
It’s fundamentally backwards. I miss times when tech people ran technology.
Wow. Did not know that. That’s crazy. Let’s cripple something running on a more powerful processor and with a bigger screen and full keyboard? That’s just backwards and terrible.
Curious why you are so comfortable with that?
Exactly. If traveling alone hotel every time. As a couple? Hotel gets crampy after about 3nights and not having a kitchen can get to you if you like to cook. Kids? Hell no - no hotel.

I’m saying people should be aware there isn’t evidence that flossing is all that beneficial for cavity protection. Therefore recommendations to do it are speculative and anectodotal. A lot of people assume it’s a scientific fact like recommending people stop smoking or losing weight, but it’s not even close to those.
Oh man. Here we go. Reddit has a huge pro-flossing bias and it’s leaking over with all the refuges apparently. This gets me downvoted to absolute oblivion on reddit and likely will here as well, but I just want to remind everyone this is all anectodotal information. There’s not strong evidence that you really need to floss, so don’t let these flossers guilt you if it’s not your thing. I’m maybe a bit of an anti-dentite I guess, but buzz feed did a nice article on this and many sources also picked up the ap newsfeed on the lack of scientific data for this commonly pushed practice :
I’m downvoting you. You point out a good example of why it really is that bad and then go on to say it’s not that bad. I disagree and think it’s pretty bad.
Just get a site is down message on connect. Accessing through browser also gives failed connection. No problems on my end.
Guess I should have been more specific, I thought this was just a thread for lemmy.fmhy.ml “instance” An instance is just another word for a fediverse server correct? This particular instance has been down for hours at a time within the past few days. I guess it doesn’t really matter so much which instance I hop on though? That’s part of the point? I just need to me more quick to switch instances in my app if having difficulty connecting.
I general most things on Tidal do sound better than YT or Spotify. One of the easiest ways to notice this is on a good car stereo system. Tidal needs to be set to hifi mode. Even on a good pair of over ear headphones the difference can be appreciated by some. Where it would be hard not to notice is on a larger system in a large room or hall played at high volume. The YT stream will start to get a “blaring” quality whereas the Tidal stream will sound more full and less harsh. You might even start to appreciate subtle instrumentals in a song you hadn’t realized were there at higher volumes.
