32·28 days agoCan confirm, with one of my first discord bots I accidentally committed the token and within a day someone logged in and announced in every server it was in that the token was compromised

3·1 month agoDepending on your location it can actually be geolocated into your specific city block, I geolocated an online friend’s IP just for the hell of it (I already knew where they lived) and it spit back out the city block they lived in as well as a lot of other very identifiable information
Also, if you can ping devices on that network using that IP you can also use that as a way to easily identify users. That’s if they have anything that isn’t firewalled, obviously, but the point stands!

1·2 months agoI think you’re confusing “not being allowed to discuss” for “being judged for discussing it”
I think “AI” has some ok uses, Davinci Resolve has a magic masking tool that really helps speed up the editing process for example. However, I also acknowledge that I don’t want Gemini shoved into every part of my phone like Google is trying to do. Saying “I can’t talk about x” when you clearly can and are just getting judged for it is disingenuous

Mmmm turbo 3 cylinder 🤤
I’m on the latest version right now, but can’t remember a time I’ve actually installed something on this version. On at least the previous version I believe I had a mix of annoying and the “open anyways” prompt, and then before that just annoyance. I can’t remember exactly what I was installing off the top of my head though, sorry
Not so much a librewolf reference as much as a “any app you download from the Internet” reference lol
I’ll have to try installing librewolf when I’m feeling frisky though
John Windows himself…
I think I’ve seen this before, very rarely though. If I remember correctly you can continue to open it from the popup, right?

Paper Wasps ✔️ Yellowjackets ❌
A paper wasp keeps trying to make a nest in my doorway and we look at each other every time I open the door. Since they’re not aggressive they don’t do anything unless you actively are messing with them (and sometimes even then they don’t attack!)
Anyways, it flies away and I remove the beginnings of the nest every time. Then it comes back overnight and makes another one in the exact same spot. It’s a little game I play with the wasp at this point
