The trouble I’ve found with most communities is they are waaaaay more into anything than I am. People get stupid over unimportant details and become annoying pedants that are difficult to talk to because they are more concerned with correcting you than just embracing a shared enjoyment of something.

Still a great idea for some people and media though.

No one is whining about having a strong passport though. You’re giving a false equivalence. In most cases it’s about not having the funds, skill set, or resources to leave.

While there are definitely perks to being an American trying to relocate, it’s also definitely not easy. If you think it is, you are operating under a survivorship bias. Your situation will vary greatly from another’s.

My ddr4 now costs more than I bought it for originally. This after having dipped below $70 for 32GB. Now it’s over 300.

That’s the core of my point though. Once you add depth it’s not 2d space anymore (even though the screen is 2d, the represented field is 3D) and y becomes depth.

I do use CAD software but always have my items resting on an x/y plane with z being height. I do some 3d printing and basic cad designs, so z being elevation still makes sense there.

Z is elevation. Any real world application, z goes up down. 3D applications SHOULD use it for elevation. I despise that many do not. It’s so fucking confusing. 2D, sure y go brrr. But once that 3rd dimension is added, y needs to take several seats and quit trying to take on dimensions it doesn’t have any right to.
