Why should all the densely populated urban centers be the only people with control over the federal election?
Why should all the densely populated urban centers be the only people with control over the federal election?
Of course you would be uncomfortable with that because you’re an atheist… You’re an atheist. The US has freedom of religion, this freedom also applies to government officials.
If this is true how to democrats win elections?
Go back to reddit with your violent calls to action.
Just a branch off thought I had when you said many people with PhDs have had Dunning-Kruger. In general, I think the way the term is used (especially online) is used incorrectly.
Everybody should experience Dunning-Kruger, it’s part of the process of learning something. People who use it as an insult should be calling their accusee arrogant instead.
How does the post have anything to do with what you just quoted from the community rules?
I am trying to say the post has nothing to do with science.
Academia = Science ?
If one hasn’t fallen victim to Dunning-Kruger, then they have not advanced their knowledge in any meaningful capacity.
It is a no brainer dude. Absolutely take the leave. You know how the work culture is here in the US, it’s pretty ridiculous. The “Live to Work” crowd is getting pretty old now though so I have seen a shift in corporate culture where I am at.
I wonder what could possibly make you think that. Perhaps it is mentioned in the post.
Is this a science meme? Am I on Reddit?
You’re incorrect
Research related to National Defense are usually kept confidential, and corporations have an incentive to not share there research to maintain competitive with their competitors. Neither of these seem out of the ordinary regardless of where you are on the globe.
Even still. The US government funds various institutions that share their research publicly, so I am not sure where you are really going with this.
Not sure. Didn’t watch the whole show and it was quite awhile ago. He did discuss his research regarding black holes.
I wasn’t aware that publishing peer-reviewed work for anybody to read was “gatekeeping”.
Yes. People conducting cutting-edge research should receive suitable compensation. Don’t see a problem with that.
Surprises me even more because it is VOA.
The kids who stop at highschool or go into a trade really don’t get that level of problem solving and critical analysis.
I wouldn’t be too hasty with the condescension towards the blue-collar working class. Problem solving and analysis is just a service at the end of the day, just like repairing an air conditioner. The value of both services also fluctuates.
There are reputable scientists that have been guests on Joe Rogan. Brian Cox was just on quite recently.
There tends to be a general distaste toward politicians in general among the scientific community.
