I do, I use ollama. I mostly just tinker, but I use with with home assistant for a quasi Alexa like experience with the voice assistant, I use it for summarizing some YouTube transcripts in too lazy to read/watch, and I’ve tried to see how capable it is with coding.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Microsoft Reportedly Looking At Rebasing Azure Linux On Fedora
9·4 months agoYeah that’s fair, but at the same time, nothing has to go upstream as far as I know. As long as they have their own little sandbox to enshittify, I don’t care if I can get Linux support for my windows only programs

Linux@lemmy.ml•Microsoft Reportedly Looking At Rebasing Azure Linux On Fedora
10·4 months agoNot particularly, but if their big OS was Linux based, people could get their corporate support, and most of the software keeping people locked into windows would theoretically be able to run on any Linux distro. That’s the dream. I want to run solid works on Linux natively

Linux@lemmy.ml•Microsoft Reportedly Looking At Rebasing Azure Linux On Fedora

Just like the g* rmans, the d* nish, Ir*sh, *nd the ch *nese. Fuck unnecessary censoring.
I wish it were that easy. I’m probably north of 10x faster designing in Solidworks compared to freecad, ignoring drawings. Obviously that will chance in time and practice, but right now I can’t really do something that people expect to be billed ~50 hours of design and it takes 250, that ends things pretty quickly. There also isn’t a lot of down time on the job to tinker and learn, so that’s done on my free time. And I’m in the position to choose what we use to design, not everyone is.
I’m not the commenter, but I would guess that since gmail has been a thing forever, a ton of online accounts are tied to those emails, so it’s harder that just switching emails for communication. That’s my issue right now.

1·5 months agoYeah I think them adding a cloud sync as a paid option is entirely fair, but not something I want.
Thanks again for sharing the project!

10·5 months agoThis looks solid. I’ve been using SuperProductivity for a while, but the json syncthing uses to sync between my computer and phone keeps breaking. Your project looks like it has a very similar interface, which I like. I’m looking forward to giving this a shot.
Edit: any chance for a mobile app on f-droid down the road?

vegan@lemmy.world•Meeting protein requirements for building muscle?English
2·5 months agoNo problem! Here’s the link/company that makes the one I buy: https://bigmountainfoods.com/products/soy-free-tofu
And for seitan, I know it’s has a lot of protein, but I heard it isn’t a complete protein source. Its fine to have, but just make sure you mix other stuff in so you can get all the essential amino acids you need.

vegan@lemmy.world•Meeting protein requirements for building muscle?English
5·5 months agoIt’s not terribly hard to hit protein goals, but it does take paying attention. Protein powders do help, but a lot of the plant based ones don’t taste very good (to me).
I hit 160-170g per day at 195 lbs eating a range of the following things: tofu (solid, general option), tofurkey + tempeh bacon sandwiches, gardein be’f crumbles or similar beef replacement crumbles, but a hidden gem if you’re struggling is soy-free tofu made from fava beans. The macros are crazy, I think it’s entirely protein, so something like 16g protein in a 70 calorie serving.

Open Source@lemmy.ml•Time for Open Source Community EV's to Be Made. Anybody want to do something like that?
3·6 months agoI’ll try to find it, but I thought I saw an organization that was trying to come up with a standard Linux flavor for vehicles. If not, it definitely needs to happen
Another small one for driving: unless you need to stop/slow down, it’s far better to just let of the gas/accelerator and coast that to touch the brakes and risk breaking traction. This goes for things like, unsure if person in lane a wants to move over? Unsure if person is going to pull out? Similar things. If its slick, you really don’t want to overuse your brakes.

English is my primary, so that does make it easier. I use it for general conversion things, like asking it questions about the Titanic or making up a new story or something. It doesn’t work as well as I’d like yet, but like I said, it’s just an other thing for me to mess around with and change.
