+1 for cosmos
I buy most of my music and use Navidrome to stream it. Tempo is a great android app and the Navidrome web app is solid
Thats just a big ipod nano
Libretube seems to almost never work for me no matter what instance i try.
Also worth adding Smarttube for AndroidTV
CalyxOS. Uses microG but is otherwise google free. Feels fairly vanilla and has a pretty solid backup solution in Seedvault
I think Graphene supports Auto. Its the only thing that makes me want to switch from Calyx
Glad I stumbled on this thread, i had the same problem. Protip if youre not using a config file and using env vars instead you can use
INVIDIOUS_DOMAIN and INVIDIOUS_EXTERNAL_PORT instead. Works great for docker
I got with Ancient Egyptian Deities for everything. (See: my username).
I tried Umbrel and i hated it. I switched to Cosmos and its great
Credit unions are better but that doesnt mean their app will work on a rooted device
Source: My credit Union app doesnt work on my rooted devices 🙃
Probably a smart move after the Yuzu stuff
No all the apps are running through docker. Some apps run in docker with vnc
Cosmos is my favorite. Its a bit newer, but it gets in my way less than Casa or Umbrel
Thanks for this write up! I was looking for something to replace volumio/hifiberryos and mopidy with Iris is a great combo. I couldn’t get the subsonic plugin working too well (the plugin seems a big half baked and the maintainer doesn’t used anymore), but the local plugin works fine over smb.
I wonder if this means the visor is done :(
+1 for MuPDF. It’s so lightweight it almost feels like a native part of the OS
Ive been using ivy on my Chromecast it’s good, but Flauncher looks more like what I want.
Protip for Chromecast users - disable the stock launcher via adb to set a new default
Yup! Somewhere along the line they improved how it tags and fetches show Metadata. Now the default setup is great
Nope! The 9 is the first pixel that uses Ultrasonic. Its a massive upgrade from the optical scanner in the 7. Legitimately never misses
