That’s okay. That’s what I love about the show. It’s fun to just watch, but there’s a lot of extra content in the details. I’ve watched every episode several times, at least once with headphones, subtitles and my full attention, and there’s no way I can remember every single reference. As long as you don’t forget Troy and Abed in the Morning, you’re good.

This is the demographic that put Linda McMahon in charge of the Department of Education. While that might not have a direct bearing on this situation, I feel like it speaks volumes about intent. They’re “laying the smackdown” on education as an obscene, tribalistic, conflict fantasy. I doubt the legislators actually care how this goes. The point is that it’s a story they can show their base, so that their supporters feel like their group is winning. It’s a perspective fundamentally detached from the nature of education in a functioning society, which is fundamentally collaborative.

I think you’re right that they’re breaking stuff. They’re also effectively selling tickets to watch the drama.

I kind of doubt that yards and gardens are common among the average residences of theses cities. I don’t think they’re willing and/or able to implement solutions similar to how I imagine your situation. It sounds very nice, though, and I hope I’m wrong.

Exactly. They’ve failed to prove more than a handful of cases in the entire country, which is less than citizens illegally voting, that number including a few politicians. If we’re going to start nailing people to the wall, perhaps we should start from the top.
