I save the butcher paper that comes in a lot of the packages I order, and use that + twine to wrap things. It can look cute and old school and saves a bunch on buying wrapping paper (I also try and buy that on massive clearance after Christmas, and if I can get more generic or even just winter themed paper I’ll angle for that to use for birthday gifts later in the year)
The premade soylents are pretty good, and I regularly have them with a protein bar as my lunch. They’re pretty expensive in my opinion, so I try and look for them on sale, but the ease of not having to prep lunch is often worth it. I try and keep it under $2 a bottle for the 14oz ones, which still feels expensive to me, but some of the lunches I prep are around that cost, and it’s way cheaper than going out to eat (I keep a spare one at work in case I ever forget to bring lunch)
Come comment on sports stuff! We don’t have enough of that, the threads are pretty empty
Subscribed! I rarely have many of these to post, but will share when I see some
These all sound like good ideas, I really appreciate everyone here who listens to community feedback. That really highlights the difference of being here vs Reddit.
That’s what I get for reading quickly on my phone… :-( I guess at least California isn’t getting fatter
Way to go Hawaii, the only state getting fitter…
To be honest, I think the best way to get Lemmy to grow in the near term will probably be getting more people to use both Mastodon and Lemmy, rather then hoping more people will shake away from reddit. I’m active on Lemmy but probably use mastodon more.
Ah, see I assume some sort of anime rules apply to the power and the larger the vessel the more it would sap my energy.
I guess I would still need to worry about being kidnapped by nestle and being hooked up to a feeding tube and gives to use my powers anyway…
Free refill man. Just point my finger and any beverage is refilled.
This is great, I’ll have to check out dawncaster. I had seen it before and wasn’t totally sure if it’s worth diving in, but I need a new android card game right now
Slay the spire is the best, I probably have 400-500 hours played in it, but as I don’t see anybody else recommending it, I would check out Nowhere Prophet as well. It has some slight tactical elements but the core is a good rogue-like deck builder. It’s much harder than slay the spire IMO which has meant it’s not quick as pick up and play fun to me.
He’s gotta buy the wares somewhere…
What community is it? Maybe people here will have some ideas for you
Honestly started using Mastodon right at the start of the Twitter announcements, although I had never used Twitter. I was getting worried about where most things online were trendeing and tended to use reddit for a big chunk of my online browsing. I wasn’t really expecting reddit to implode so quickly after Twitter, but as I was already using mastodon another federated platform seemed good to join
My patient game would be Slay the spire, I still play it on either switch or Android several times a week.
However, this year I did something unusual for myself and not patient: I bought Zelda: tears of the kingdom (I did wait about a month after release). Ive already put probably 300 hours into it, and still have quite a bit more I can do, so the $/hour of entertainment value there I don’t think ive matched.
This reads like an onion headline
Can’t stop the stroganoff
For me it would be a new external hard drive for all my data hoarding
