I have this theory that only evil people threaten. It might be cooked, but thinking about it, if you are good and see something you should do, just do it and don’t threaten someone into doing what you want. Idk, it seems weird to threaten someone into doing something ethical.

As ridiculous as that sounds, yes, this is to be expected. They already weakened the military courts, but I don’t know the extent, just remember there were some articles about it earlier in the year. Also, I don’t know if history has an example of any large groups of military refusing an order, not counting coups.
Democracies need to be able to analyze proposals and punish malicious actors, otherwise they allow corruption to keep trying to tear down good things for the majority. I don’t think it’s a thing anywhere, and probably never going to be.
Yes, they also have a form of lobbying, aka bribes, so corruption is legal.

I read the wiki about him. It’s interesting that he’s pro fascist and pro Ukrainian independence. Russia used him a lot in their state media to bolster their nazi Ukraine propaganda. Speculating, it could be a Luigi moment for Ukraine, a solo individual upset with him and what he represented.

This sounds like a better solution than the current one. I’m not sure about the implementation of manually voting locally or federately, but that’s what testing is for! It might be easiest to embed the options into the 3-dot contextual menu. Or maybe add a new button that brings up a row of new icons/options under the post/comment for extra, lesser used actions. It’s kinda like a contextual menu but it’s a bar of icons that shows more actions. The Boost app does this for comments by clicking on the comment, making the UI hidden and slick, less cluttered until you want to interact with it.
You could also have two numbers, a total of local + federated votes, and a number in parentheses with only local votes.
