What new Mastodonians need to understand is that they need to follow hashtags, not people. This should be the first welcoming sentence on any instance.
I wonder if they included Mastodon in their “competitor list”.
3·2 months agoCapitalism! in the modern area with a tad more complexity.
Rather than block lists, just subscribe to the lemmy communities that interest you and don’t subscribe to political/news communities. Then view lemmy through the “subscribed” feed rather than the “all” feed - no political posts - problem solved.
Maybe because the people in the Modi government have family and/or friends in the Gujarat province?
