I came here to say Unreal Tournament 2004.
I remember on my laptop - trying to get on a hoverboard and my frame rate dropped to 3-5fps. I knew I needed to finally build and put my laptop away.

TBH, I don’t think they care. It is monetization and engagement of their microtransactions…as smug as they may be, I think it’s all about $
“You happy, Huell?”
“reasonably.”
(still one of my favorite lines from BB, not sure why)
I love the material you color scheming, how far out is the material you app icon? I want this app on my home screen but it doesn’t match :)
Loving the app so far…I have tried a lot and this feels like it has the most potential. Nice work!
Thanks, amigo
Oops. Jerboa didn’t look like it was submitting…lots of bugs to be worked out :)
It lived a long, happy, and fulfilling life before I brought it back behind the barn :)
I had an issue with the link going to the wrong place. Have to repost today a different way.
It’s so funny. I have bounced between Boost and Sync for years. I really love them both. I think I tend to gravitate to boost for more graphical or visual subs, and I like Sync for commenting or reading more text focused content. I have paid for pro lifetime on both. I miss them, and am excited that Sync is trying to make the jump.
Has the Boost dev(Ruben?) Officially said the app is shutting down? Ppl keep saying it, but I haven’t seen an official post or announcement. Reddit keeps saying “we are still working with some devs”…
You’re right, it would be too late…
But it would have allowed users access to awards and coins and chat features without stepping on the toes of Reddit. It’s crazy that they didn’t come up with that rather than this.
Users that likely will never see an ad of they only use the 3rd party app
I am really working on making Lemmy work. It’s slowly getting there for me…learning curves. I just miss the subreddits I had for my niche hobbies. It really bums me out.
But that is exactly the problem with third party apps …they don’t show ads so they make no add revenue on people using apps like Sync and Apollo or RIF… The official app does. I understand why they are trying to push people to their app, but the route they took was worst case scenario.
Exactly…I think from the start it would have been an understandable approach. They want to make money but understand people like their apps l.
I mentioned in another post that Unreal Tournament 2004 was one of them for me.
Later on down the road, after I built my first gaming pc using an XFX 8800gts with a whopping 640mb vram - I tried to max out XCOM when it came out. Next thing I heard was a pop, then I smelled the smoke that was billowing out of my GPU. It was time to upgrade again!
