She’s being racist AF but it’s indeed something approaching a logical conclusion, just not the one she’s intending. After reading all the hate that one transracial woman got years ago, I realized it sounded an awful lot like the standard TERF rehoritic. Gener is a construct, and so is race. The existence of transgender people almost necessitates the existence of transracial people. I’d love to hear a counter argument, because I’m not sure a good one exists…

    1. The nearest two hitches are pixel-perfect square to the camera.
    2. The tailpipe on the first truck on the right melts into a smudge.
    3. There is almost no detail in the concrete even though all the trucks are in sharp focus.
    4. All shadows have an ethereal quality and the light seems to have an inconsistent directionality.
    5. The ball on the white truck melts into the white line behind it.
    6. The green truck behind the white truck has a fender that seems to melt into a wheel.
    7. The box on the orange truck on the left seems to be about 3’ deep.

  • I would usually agree with this kind of normalization, but in this case I actually think it would actually obfuscate the picture. Safer roads are a good thing, but if traffic deaths are reduced because more people bike or take the train, that’s still a win. Roads and cars are inherently dangerous, and that danger needs to be minimized using multiple strategies. We need to focus on holistic changes that consider people’s behaviour and their interactions with the built environment.

When people feel they absolutely need to drive, that’s a failure of infrastructure.
