  • I did answer your question. Look around yourself at all the people that work outside for a living in temperatures much hotter than 79 degrees. Or think about all of human history before the advent of the air conditioner. Or the large segments of the global population that live in tropical climates without AC.

The fact that you become dehydrated “quickly” in 79 degree weather honestly might be a medical condition. Were I you, I would consult your doctor. Unless you’re fairly obese, the fact you’re saying you sweat so much you become dehydrated in mildly warm weather is concerning.

  • Just go outside and look at people working outdoors or exercising. 79 isn’t very hot. Shocking fact: A/C was invented in the 20th century. Humans and summers were invented way, way before that. Do you think farmers just spontaneously combusted every summer before the advent of A/C? I know many farmers that don’t have A/C to this day, and they work sun up to sun down all summer long with no problems.

79 degrees would barely be considered hot in large swaths of the world. You can live and work in relative comfort at 79 degrees. Think of it this way: people run 135 mile ultramarathons in Death Valley where temperatures get up to 130 degrees.

Not everyone sits inside an air conditioned cube all day.

  • I think I’m probably being overly precautious, and I love and prefer wild game, so all respect to the cook here! I would never turn down a meal like that!

Also I don’t know, but I don’t think wildebeest carries CWD.

And ignore the haters, that looks like a good meal you made your pa, especially given the specific cooking temperature requests. Sous vide was a wise choice. I bet it was delicious and your dad loved it.

  • I miss venison, but there is so much CWD in the deer populations where I live that I decided a couple years ago to be extra precautious and stopped hunting deer. I know all deer should be tested, and proper cooking technique should eliminate any further concern, but prions freak me out.

Once I read the study that showed it was transmissible to humanized mice, I noped out. There were two hunters just this last April that contracted CJD, suspected to have come from them both eating the same CWD affected venison.

No, I read a lot of context from your angry, impotent, and violent-fantasizing post history.

Your cute little performative Latin phrase is precisely my point.

No one cares about your violent fantasia.

I know, I know, “yer gonna regret saying that to me when they bring out the guillotines!”

    Dude. It’s just awkward.

You are obsessed with the idea that you’re going to set up a guillotine to punish the wicked. You are an impotent nerd that gets off on violent fantasy online.

Calm. Down. You can’t even organize effective action against your own diminishing dreams. Stop advocating for violence. You’re in no position to handle it.

Go stroke your gun and fantasize about how it makes you strong and important; meanwhile, the world will, much to your confusion, continue not caring about your opinions.

Businesses reduced prices when people started buying less of their product? HOW COULD IT BE.

Everyone wants a ton of cheap shit and they feel like price is owed to them. You want prices to be lower for shit? Stop buying shit. I assure you, that will really freak them out.

You want to see CEOs lose their jobs? Stop buying shit. You want to see the managerial class shrink? Stop buying shit.

The fact remains, no one is going to stop buying stupid shit. The entire global culture, to varying degrees but with few exceptions, is tilted towards consumerism.

Everyone keep doing what you’re doing. Everything is fine. No cause for panic. You don’t need savings. You don’t need property of any sort. Want a song? I’ll rent it to you. Want to live somewhere? I’ll rent it to you. Movie? I’ll rent it to you. Education? I’ll loan it to you.

There are people with property, and those allowed to use it for a fee. Welcome to neo-feudalism.
