Honestly convenience. It’s easier to use for work. Also just found it easier to for gaming. At least that was true when I first started using Linux 5 or so years ago. I was dual booting on my old build and haven’t taken the time to partition a Linux distro on my new build. I run Kubuntu on a 2011 MacBook Pro for a smart home setup and I love it. The machine was almost useless and now runs about as well as any other laptop I’ve got. So I guess the short answer is I need/like having the option.

Well no. It was the red like for outlook though. I already used Thunderbird on my Kubuntu setup. Outlook was fine before the top email became an add. It was also easy to integrate with my work email.

Yeah this was an immediate no from me on my home PC that I run windows on so I went and downloaded Thunderbird and have been happy ever since.

This was my first thought. Seems unlikely. I’d see this just as likely being propaganda.

I like build and make things. There are often mistakes I made that no one else can see. For a long time that would really bother me, but that job was done and it was time to move on to the next thing. I had to change the way I saw those mistakes I made into evidence of where I had been and how I had grown. As long as I keep working at my craft and stay diligent, I can minimize my future mistakes while carrying with me the learnings from my past ones. I wouldn’t characterize your tooth as a mistake, but it’s a thing that happened that likely only you see (apart from your dentist I suppose - forgive the imperfect metaphor). It’s another part of the complicated story that is you, and that’s okay. Maybe if you’d like, it can become evidence of where you have been and how you have grown.

Nah that is Firefox on a Mac I boot with Linux. There are other web based apps I believe. There is one called photon you can find on GitHub but I’m not sure of any of its features. Sorry for the wild goose chase!

Strange. I also use it on my web browser. You can “install it” from the browser.

Well the voyager browser app is great if it works for your instance. It has filter options as well.

Some Lemmy apps have filters. I use Memmy for Lemmy and it has filters. That assumes you use your phone and not a browser.

The other possibility is that it’ll be like Tesla’s self driving tech that has been coming “by the years end” since 2016 and it’s just meant to drive investment. Both are equally likely. Interesting. Not a Spotify user, but that’s pretty gross. Looks like the way things are going and I’m becoming more okay with that. There are more and more commodities I’m becoming more and more comfortable not paying for.

It is really frustrating. I blame Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless. Kidding, but seriously. That style of commentary is absolute crap. Yelling is not an affective way to get your point across.

I wasn’t a big fan of The Hobbit films (big money grab), but The Hobbit was literally a children’s book for Tolkien’s kids. That being said, I can’t say there was anything added “for the kiddies”. In terms of the LOTR films, I’m not sure what was there to appease kids that could be compared to anything Star Wars ever did. They weren’t a perfect adaptation of the books, but those movies still hold up and I wouldn’t let my young kids watch if.
