What birth rate crisis? It’s only a crisis for capitalism, that wants to expand exponentially, which is unsustainable. For humanity, less people means less impact on the environment allowing the human race to live longer and healthier lives. It would benefit us all having less people on this planet.

We went clubbing with his mom and she kept getting hit on by guys our age. It was hilarious and also kind of nice to see “older” women (she must have been late 30s/early 40s) still being able to attract men. 10/10. Although decades later I wonder if/when men will leave me alone.

Am I the only one who doesn’t care where my decorative sculpture comes from or highlighters or house shoes? I assume it’s the same quality as the stores around me.

We don’t deal with the root cause because it’s expensive, time consuming, complex and some people will get offended (ie: most of our problems are a result of bad parenting - adulting not knowing how to regulate themselves, adults being too exhausted from work, adults not knowing how to mirror etc. ). Symptoms are what’s treated. Ie: in the us the focus is on getting you back to work/ be productive and not solving your depression, anxiety whatever.

You’re assuming fair elections. I bet JD will get 120% of the votes.

The only books I keep returning to are adult children of emotionally immature parents (on audio) and the loving parent guidebook (workbook). I just finished doing the workbook. No other books have changed my life.

Just part of the propaganda machine. I’m surprised it’s pro feminism, but anti atheism - since the root is patriarchy and hierarchy.

I think it’s partly not being able to manage your internal life and partly not being able to manage other people. Ie: when I’m in freeze stress response I cannot manage myself and so cannot manage other people. If I had more control over my dissociation, I’d be clear headed enough to learn how to manage other people. We cannot control other people, but we can (theoretically) control our response to them. So the problem isn’t other people, the problem is you not managing your reaction toward other people.

My mind is mostly pretty quiet. My internal monologue is used for figuring stuff out and making observations/giving myself a warning (ie: that person is lying). It doesn’t narrate anything. I only speak first person with myself. I have difficulty remembering my internal monologue so I’ve made it a habit to write down my observations and then synthesize them. Also my internal monologue is quiet and any kind of noise interrupts it.

Learning is woke.

They’ve only had a heatwave recently. The fair was poorly attended before the heatwave.

My thoughts and observations.

I was helping my dad declutter. I found a bunch of old Medicare brochures, and the one from 2016 came with a cd. I had the realization that if I wanted to see what’s inside I couldn’t because I don’t have anything with a cd drive. I still have a bunch of old media on cds that I haven’t been able to play because I don’t have a drive. It’s kind of a weird situation to be in since at the moment at least, I can stream everything but what will happen when it won’t be available? It’s a crappy future out there.
