Agreed, there’s quite a bit of gatekeeping, but I don’t think it’s because of malicious intent. I feel like the line for what is a damaging conspiracy and what isn’t is quite blurry and hard to even think of, so I imagine whoever wrote that rule didn’t really think that deeply about it.

Tbh, it shouldn’t be “for a lady” it should be “for a person” Because I feel like to say “for a lady” is to encourage people to only ever help ladies. I know that’s not what it actually is but it co.es across that way to me and could also easily get misunderstood by someone. I don’t mean like they actively think “oh only women deserve nice gestures” but like a more subtle, subconscious misunderstanding…

What’s the purpose of forbidding Russia from playing sports? I mean sure sanctions and all but what’s sport gonna do? I would understand if the sports teams did or said something that would warrant the ban but I don’t think most of the players are pro Putin?
