when society turns on the people with a conscience, the people with a conscience should turn on society. stop playing nice.
when society turns on the people with a conscience, the people with a conscience should turn on society. stop playing nice.
i mean, if you support a rational society that uses reasoning to create an altruistic stewardship of the world, then it pretty much justifies an any means necessary approach to defeat christian nationalism (or any other superstitious, irrational belief system). otherwise, the next century is going to unimaginable suffering.
and this is why i support militant atheism.
i’m on the spectrum myself, but i was raised before awareness was widespread. i overcame it, and i’m thankful because it’s a lonely place inside my head compared to the joy of sharing interactions with people IRL.
yes, but that assumes that there is some human quality to the internet. yes, we post emojis and people love cat pics, but there’s still something inherently plastic about all of this - something deeply human that is lost in binary translation, which is why it’s important that we hold on to simple things like using our voices and making eye contact IRL.
when yall stop making eye contact, you’ve truly lost your humanity
how very interesting indeed!
are you trying to bait me into getting banned? i’m on your side, genius. i’m just not a weak do-nothing like some of you.
nah. i will always use my voice to offer true solutions. countless lives are at stake. we should have done the right thing years ago.
use your imagination
because we allow the 30-40% who will vote for him to exist. they won’t change their minds. there’s only one solution.
yes. there are a few references in it that people should get. all the scenes before joe leaves for the volcano are meme-worthy. me and a buddy still laugh about this scene:

“dingy!”
yeah, i’m not into the theater kids style of D&D either, but i do like immersive RP balanced with combat and problem solving.
basically 2e style: a fantasy simulator with a lot of gritty mechanics, where the party keeps it mostly serious, and the GM uses historical inspiration to make a culturally and mythologically balanced world that is part sandbox, part scripted, medium magic, and very immersive - a world that is not centered around the players, a world where PC death is a real risk and the players have to actually be engaged to survive.
like, serious D&D shit.
walk away, casual observer. you do not want to climb the slope to this grognard’s mighty bastions. surely, you will be defeated.
the right way to play dungeons and dragons
yeah, people think that feeding into our reactionary side for views is something new, but television has been corrupting us since long before the internet.
i remember these stickers in the 90’s… they used to be everywhere, especially in the subcultures like the punk/rave/hippie/skater scene:
“KILL YOUR TV”
i’m glad someone was looking out for me. killing that thing definitely made me a better person.
not being trolled by lemmy d list celebrities, and then, i don’t know, maybe i’ll smoke a joint.
