Oh, I pay about that in the grocery store, I just can’t get restaurant food for that cheap.

Without drinks and foot long. Even if I don’t finish it in one sitting, I’ll basically always go for a bigger sandwich and have leftovers later, unless it’s something really saucy or likely to get super soggy.
I’m an immigrant in Germany, and they offered me an integration course when I got my spousal visa. I’ve taught those classes for the same city. They did waive my language requirement because of my master’s degree in German though, so that was nice and unexpected.
He’s probably gotta eat that much, though, and nothing makes eating less fun than needing to long term (so not just fries and milkshakes) bulk.
“Son, you know that’s just a metaphorical nickname, right?”
That’s why my last price point is last year
That sounds like a dream to me in Germany. Subway for two was around 20€ last year and the average Döner is at least 7-8€, though in my area it’s closer to 10€
I once spoke to a philosophy professor who pronounced Nietzsche as though it rhymed with itchy. I didn’t correct him because I was 19 and felt intimidated, but at some point along his career, he wouldn’t have intimidated everyone, how does that even happen?

Yeah, that looks like it could be used as a visual metaphor in Snow White for the preparation of the apple
I don’t think Liz truss is hotter than Rishi Sunak or 1953 QEII (if you want to count her as a leader). She’s probably tied with keir starmer imo.
The real question is: why are the UK’s leaders getting hotter?

2·7 days agoI think so, but I really vibe with that description. I don’t think humanity’s bad, I just rub people the wrong way much of the time in ways I can’t really perceive, so it feels like I don’t really “get it.” I do try though, and it seems like it often takes up all of my energy to pay attention to all of my body language and facial expressions so I don’t come off as rude.

Shapeshift into something that can fly, into a very thin transparent film on the ceiling of a room, into something which can withstand great temperatures or bullets, hell, you can even shapeshift into something that photosynthesizes.

To be fair, it’s a master’s in German language education, so it should really apply to the integration course as well (it’s basically a language class that focuses on things like siezten/dutzen, bureaucratic language, holidays, navigating the workplace and shared housing, and cultural quirks like not jaywalking and quiet sundays).
