I stopped following The Escapist a couple months back when it started reminding me more and more of corporate media. ZP was fun because you could get Yat’s unfiltered opinion, rather than the almost undiscernable “good game, 7/10” opinion other game reviewers give. The Escapist shot themselves on the foot on this one, imo.

It’s very strand-like in that sense.
This system could work if the people who manage anime communities also enforced tagging borderline hentai with the hentai tag, which hopefully most wouldn’t take issue with. You could always still block the community/instance if they don’t follow this system.
Personally I’m not interested in hentai or anime, which is why a general anime filter encompassing both of these themes would be perfect for me.
Alternatively a filter for “hentai” and a more general “anime” filter would also be nice.

That’s an AI generated guy actually. In reality dunkey is an old black woman.
It’s a shame the bandwagoning didn’t stay on Reddit as people migrated here. I really wish upvotes and downvotes weren’t displayed for anyone, maybe then people would act more civil.

More people should play OpenTTD. It’s free, open source, has an active community and runs on any smart toaster. Not to mention it’s a fun, chill game with a surprising amount of depth to it.
That’s reaching a quite a bit. Reddit itself is very left leaning. Pair that with the fact that the (probably few) ring wing people leaving Twitter recently might not be interested in a forum style platform such as Lemmy.
My guess is that the number of right leaning people joined Lemmy in this last wave of new accounts was small in comparison to the left leaning ones.
This is fake. There were no mammoths left by 1897.
